Hovercraft Applications

 

Hovercraft can be used for many applications; they are true all-terrain vehicles, cheaper and more effective than helicopters.

We have supplied hovercraft for a wide range of applications to include:

• Rental Operations, Corporate entertainment.
• Filming and TV work.
• Access to Riverside, lakeside and island properties. Hovercraft travel over mud, sand and ice. Hovercraft are not restricted by tide, or fast running water. Or shallow water, or submerged rocks, coral, marine life.
• Oil Exploration, pipeline patrol. Have been fitted with ground penetrating radar to find oil deposits.
• Power-line patrol and safety.
• Bridge building, maintenance and repair.

• Rescue work from flooded areas, to save victims from drowning and hypothermia. Hovercraft do not create the problem with downdraft associated with helicopters, and cost less to purchase, operate and maintain. Rescuers can reach mud, sand and ice victims without exposing rescuers to life threatening danger.

• Store advertising (Harrods), attracting to car showrooms.

Hovercraft have a go anywhere, any time attitude - boats and Jet-Skis seem so limited and unpractical to launch by comparison.

The Hov Pod was first introduced in 2002.

We designed the Hov Pod to be durable, safe, and suitable for the marine environment. Our product design has proven to be very successful, we now export over 85% of our products through our growing network of dealers. In 2008 we introduced the unique SPX model, manufactured from High Density Polyethylene. This material is lightweight yet very strong and exceptionally buoyant.
